Richmond, IN, established in 1811 by Quakers, is located between Dayton, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana. Earlham College, a Quaker institution, is located off Route 40. Also off Route 40 is the Hayes Arboretum which has beautiful trails. The tourism bureau offers two novelty trails through Richmond: The Chocolate Trail and The Wine and Ale Trail.
